Blades Restaurant

Our restaurant specialises in locally sourced produce, so diners literally enjoy the "taste of wales". Great care is taken to ensure we use only the freshest meat, vegetables,dairy and charcuterie form local producers.

As Monmouth is so close to the meeting point of three counties, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire (and of course Monmouthshire), we can offer the best quality at reasonable prices.

Our head chef Conan Randall,though still in his early twenties, has gained considerable experience in local restaurants, and takes great pride in the Cuisine on offer. Hygiene is top of his priorities and he is delighted to welcome you to our large and well equiped kitchen, except of course during busy food service!

The Bar

We have three bars in total.The residents bar,ideal for pre dinner drinks or a lunchtime snack.The sports bar is very informal and offers a pool table and big screen television for those important sporting moments! Finally our well appointed function room .provides it's own dedicated bar.

We pride ourselves on offering one of the widest ranges locally of draught beers, lagers and traditional ales. In addition the bar stocks every spirit and liqueur imaginable.

We offer an extensive wine list with wines for every occasion, to which we regularly add new bottles we have discovered.  For extra variety we always have a selection of bin ends which offer excellent value for money and the chance to try something different.
